In Poker, there is a very steep learning curve. At the start a little information will take you a long way, whereas when you become better, the new information you learn won’t add as much to your game.

Whetever sites you follow , these are few tips to follow -

Don’t Play Too Many Hands

A very common mistake that amateur players make is not being selective enough with their starting hands. Don’t fall into the common trap of thinking that ‘any hand can win’. Although this is true, some hands are more likely to win than others and will help you win more money, whilst others will help you in losing more money. So be selective about which hands you play.

Don’t Bluff Too Much

Another common misconception about poker is that you need to bluff to win. You may see spectacular bluffs on the WSOP shows, but these are edited to show the highlights of the tournaments and so give the wrong impression of the frequency that top players bluff. If you are an online poker beginner, it is better to play your cards well rather than trying to bluff your opponents out of hands. It is good to try occasional bluffs here and there, but the real art of knowing when to bluff comes from knowledge and practice.

Think About Your Opponent’s Cards

It is vitally important in poker to think about the strength of your opponent’s hand, and not just your own. It is nice to have a big hand, but if you think that your opponent has a better hand than you, you should prepare to fold. For example a straight is a decent hand, but if there are four cards of the same suit on the board and your opponent pushes all in, do you still think you have the best hand?

I agree with this post, but my vote goes to Everest Poker (for non-us). Very good site for beginners.

Honestly, the best poker for beginners is: Reefer Poker

Believe me, Reefer Poker has an amazing 150% deposit bonus, and top poker promotions each month, beginners like this poker room because alot of high stakes players mess around in the lower ring game(s) sections. Basically dumping chips in your direction, the poker room also accepts all players world-wide including U.S.A.

I recently noted that many sites were once again linking to SEOmoz's Beginner's Guide to Search Engine Optimization, which made me feel guilty. The guide is now almost 3 years out of date, and so much has changed in that time that I feel almost irresponsible having it up in its current format (though I recognize it still can be a valuable resource in some sense).

To help remedy the situation, I've had the "re-write the Beginner's Guide" on my to-do list for months, but the project intially required about 100 hours of writing, research, fact-checking, screenshots and graphic creation. I think I'm faster at many of those tasks now, but I'm also far, far busier in my daily life. Thus, my plan is to actually use the blog to rewrite the guide. Here's what I'm thinking:

Over the next 3-4 weeks, dedicate the 2-3 hours I spend blogging each night to authoring a section of the Beginner's Guide and posting it on the blog.
Solicit feedback from everyone and include those that are valuable in the final version of the guide (with attributed credit).
Re-create the guide in a single & multi-page format and 301 all of the blog entries that will be created over the next few weeks (on this topic) to the final version.
Keep it 100% free to everyone - no registration required, no premium membership necessary.
Obviously I'm open to feedback on this, but this is my take on what might be the best path to pursue.

Have you tried out our poker site? We offer over 75,000 in cash prizes, WSOP seats, UFC specials, play against Mike Sexton (spokesman for poker platform). The prizes that are offered can not be compared with any other site out there. We are one of the few poker rooms that is 100% legal for US players and players worldwide. For beginners, it is a win win situation because you get all the competition as you would from any online gaming site, however our membership is free.

Good luck at the Tables
