| Is anyone making money on the $10 or $30 "limit" SnG's on Party. I did well in the $5's, but in the $10 and $30's it seems there are still 7-9 people left when the betting limits are 200-400 and my whole tournament comes down to one or two hands. Any input would be apprecitated. | ||

| With a starting stack of 800 the low limit sit and gos are, as far as 1 table tournaments go, a crapshoot. There are plenty of people who have winning long term results in the 1000 chip sit and go's so I think you can still beat this game. It's my theory that a the 800 chip tournaments may in some cases actually be less of a crapshoot and have more of a skill factor. If you are playing against the 9 worst short stack players in the world and understand the fundamentals of short stack poker then I think you will clean up. I think a lot of 'good' players don't get it. Sometimes I'll make a depseration raise with Q6 and get called by a 'good' player with JT, win, then get berated for getting lucky with my Q6. On the other side of the coin you have to be ready to die when you defend your BB with K3o and other crappy hands. Overall, it's been my experience that limit players are especially bad at short stack play. Having said all of that, I think you will find juicier margins at big bet games with bigger starting stacks. Good luck in 2004. Formless | ||
