I was watching ESPN last week and they had an hour show covering the 2003 Scrabble Championship. SCRABBLE!!!

Did anyone else see this show? I make fun of it but I have to admit I watch almost the whole show. Didn't know there was that much envolved in scrabble. Players study every night. They talk about strategy and aggressive play and such. Sounded alot like poker.

Amazing some of the words they came up with. There was a group of eliminated players watching the final championship game. Guess they couldn't be in the same room. But you should have seen how excited these players got. Cheering and booing when they players made good or bad plays. If you just saw their reactions you would have thought they were watching the NCAA final 4 our something.

I did pass on watching the Jump Rope Championship coverage a few days later.

CMON MONKEY..... I LOVED THE SCRABBLE CHAMPIONSHIPS

lol, no but seriously I actually found my self quite entertained by this, Its amazing how brilliant these guys are...

I take it you saw the last play on game 2.... where they made a huge deal about him playing TOQUE, thus opening up a bingo lane with a T on the bottom to spell TOQUET... how do these people notice these things... and they make at least two or three bingo's A GAME, I cant make one in a year.

hahaha, and geuss what was on right after that?????? WHEELCHAIR POOL!!!!!!!!!!!, rock on, I actually like the odd little games they show

the scrabble players are prolly posting on United Scrabble Forum, saying "Travel channel will cover anything" "did you see they ran a WHOLE day on poker?????"

I thought we were going to see fists flying by the people watching over the TOQUET dibacle. And talk about the self drama when the guy playing recognized he made the mistake with TOQUET. He won the game and was explaining how he should have won earlier? How classy.

You know what is going to be on next don't you? Live coverage of Yu-Gi-Oh trading card battles.

WORLDS STRONGEST WOMAN???

Are you toying with my emotions? I love the World's Strongest Man shows. I did not know they had women competing. I'll have to tell TIVO to look for that.

I am waiting for the Winter Olympics to come around again to get my CURLING fix taken care of. Talk about hypnotic television.

I remembered this post when watvhing ESPN two days ago. Yep you guessed it...Lawnmower racing with an expert commentator???? Wow this was great...suped up riding mowers and a stock division to boot. This was so off the wall that the announcer opened with..."ESPN2 will cover anything." Made me think of this.

About a week before I caught the miniature golf world championship with the "Tiger Woods" of miniature golf. And his 8 year career winnings of like $15,000. I think he needs a new hobby. I finally had to change it when the gallery-im not kidding there actually was a crowd- had a 60 yr old man by the cup wearing nothing but a bikini bathing suit and flip flops. Talk about a presure putt!
