Is it worth reporting soft playing in a SnG, Chris W, 29. Dec 2003 00:04

I just finished playing a $30 SnG where I busted out in fourth place due to one of the players letting his friend survive when the right play clearly would have busted her. He all but admitted it in the chat window (he said: " I could have bet more but I didn't want to be mean ") but then denied it when I confronted him. He then passed up a second opportunity to bust her a few hands later.

Is this worth reporting? It's annoying to get screwed out of $60 but I have a feeling it's a waste of time to report this to UB. Has anyone else tried reporting cheating like this? If so, what was the result?

Thanks,
Chris

Mine as well report the two players, describe the situation and let them investigate as to whether they play together frequently.

I kind of see it as my duty to report any cheating (disconnecting in a multi table tourney) whether or not I'm involved in the pot.

I agree with above, I would just send a brief and polite email describing the situation and asking them to look into it. I think it is every honest players duty to keep the game as smooth as possible.
