I am making it to the final table of B&M tourneys fairly regularly now. However I have a signifigant weakness in heads up play. ARe there any books, articles, anything I can use to help improve my heads up play. Any advice would also be helpful.

I am very aggressive HU. Probably way too aggressive, but I win more than my fair share of tourneys, so I guess it's working.

Most of the time, when I get HU, my opponents feel "run over" by me.

I basically go all-in on any ace, any king-suited, any pair, BTF. After the flop, I go all-in if I catch any pair or better.

Saying all of this, however (which is probably making tourney pros shudder), I DO tend to play the player more than anything else. If I know my opponent is timid, or too much of a calling station, I will slow down. I won't let myself get trapped with those above hands.

Playing HU at the end of a tourney is more of an art than a science, IMHO. Reading Doyle's NLHE section of the Super/System might help. His play was ultra-aggressive in the '70's.

I hope this helps somewhat. Nothing is written in stone when you are talking about playing HU in a NLHE tourney. It is just something you will have to learn by experience.

Felicia :)
