| All - I play pretty small limit poker at ultimatebet.com. I originally thought that this was the biggest (best?) site around but many people here talk about PartyPoker.com. Is there really a difference between the two? -desi | ||

| From what I've heard, PartyPoker has less experienced players on it. I think you should download it and try the layout with a few free games to see if you like it. I like UB more, so that is where I stay most of the time. I truely think the graphics and layout can affect performance, and you have to get used to PartyPoker because the cards don't appear right in front of you like on UB, and the table doesn't shift to your perspective. | ||

| Well both sites have a pretty large player base so basically it just boils down to what your preference is. My own personal opinion is that Party has looser games, which doesn't necessarily mean better depending on your playing style and temperament. I have been a UB player since I started playing online, and it is by far my favorite site. Much like yourself I tried Party a while back lured by the rumored 'soft' games. I definitely didn't care for their layout, and the games were way to loose for my tastes. I keep good stats, and I still averaged about the same BB's/hr win ratio, but the fluxuations were too much for my liking. (big win one session, couple of grind out break even ones, maybe another big win followed by a decent size loss etc.) Just too many ups and downs, which evens out in the end but stressed me out along the way. So my thought is both sites have their supporters and it just boils down to which site you are the most comfortable on. Lee | ||

| i prefer partypoker. i love the layout compared to ub. i like to observe the table from above. (im the only guy who plays madden from the blimp view lol). i do well on party so i stick with them. (they have a lot of one time wonders who just finshed watching moneymaker win, and get all balsy with nothing) they also have good customer service. just try a few sites and eventually you'll get used to one format over another. try pokerstars.com and empirepoker.com (sister co. of partypoker) | ||

| UB has microlimit tables and Party does not. It seems to me that you can bluff at a pot more at UB then you can on Party. Someone will always call on party. Works out well when you have a strong hand. It is super easy to release your bonus on Party. Party uses raked hands and not a point system like UB. You can sit at a $25 NL table and get 8-9 raked hands per lap. Where on UB you might earn 1-3 points per lap. Party seems to offer more bonus codes for first deposit and even reload bonuses. You can get 20% deposit bonus up to $100 if you use: 20BONUS4U on 19. Dec 2003 12:36 desi wrote: > All - > > I play pretty small limit poker at ultimatebet.com. | I've tried several sites and it probably depends what you want from the site. If you like bonuses Party Poker probably is your best bet and check other sites. Check to see if they have your game there. Some sites don't carry draw poker or other games you may like. For me, it is the software. A lot of sites the software is just way to slow. Party Poker is pretty good and I like playing there. But for pure action software, both for graphics and user interface, I have to give it to Ultimate Bet and is where I do most of my poker. | ||
