| After about 15 tries I just won for the 1st time. It was a $5+.50 Limit HE on Stars. I had been taking a beating lately and was determined to play discplined tight, aggresive this time and not stay in hands I knew were bad. The first 40 hands I saw 3-4 flops where I was not in the blinds. It was hard, but I was determined to be disciplined. I was short stacked alot, but started to steal alot of pots when the stakes reached 200/400. At heads up I started down about 3000 to 9000. I went into raise or fold mode and was up 11,000 to 2,000 in about 10 min. He worked his way back to almost even when I tried to bully him with bad cards a few times. I finally closed him out with a pair of 3's when his straight draw didn't catch, I had the same draw to. Forgive me if I'm babbling. I know it's not a huge victory, but I'm fired up about knowing the mistakes I've been making, making corrections and having them pay off. I'm going to Shreveport, LA next week and am more excited about it now. | ||
