| I have pocket 4s in a small cash game. The blinds are 25 cent 50 cent. Im UTG and I have pocks 4s i just call. There are 2 people in the hand besides me. The flop is 9 4 5 rainbow. I bet 3. Then the button rasies 2. I rasie all in wit 5.75 more. He calls i got 3 4s and hes has 3 5s i lose. What could i have done. | ||

| What could you have done? Well you could've made quads! Seriously though, seeing that you chose to call with your hand preflop and then you flopped a set, what could you do? I wouldn't fold my hand in that spot. It was just unfortunate that your opponent flopped a higher set. And whether you go all in on the flop after he raises you, or wait to make a move on the turn, either way, your chips are going into the pot, regardless. 4P- | ||

| Calling 44 UTG in a cash NL game is a marginal play IMO, unless the game is so passive (and your opponents are loose and deep in chips) that you don't fear any raise behind you. Assuming that the game met that criteria, then it is a tough situation when you flop your set and lose. Be careful commiting all of your chips with bottom set though...in NL and PL games, you need to be able to fold these hands when someone else is showing incredible strength. You need to really know your opponents well in these games, so if anything, that is what could have saved you some $$ here. | ||
