| ok few weeks ago made a deposit into UB so i could play in the tourney, left me with $3 after the tourney fee, went to chk the games last nite and found only .01/.02 and .25/.50 games whats up with that? i cant play my $3 in any meaningful way to work my way up the ladder? this needs to be yelled about quite loudly as $3 isnt a buyin for .25/.50 and would take a lifetime to work up enough playing .01/.02 | ||

| What's the buyin for the .25/.50 table? Even if it is 10 times the big bet, you're only looking at $2 to make. I've done that easily in 20 minutes on a .01/.02 table. If you don't want to spend the time, you'll just have to pony up the dough for another deposit. (I only play on pokerstars - does UB not have the .02/.04, .05/.10, .10/.25 tables? Also on pokerstars I think you can buy short for five big bets - though I'm not sure and obviously this doesn't help you on UB...) | ||

| i mostly play on PStars myself i just happen to have $3 on UB left over from my tourney deposit, far as i know 10XBB is minimuum buyin so for .25/.50 its $5 and winning $2 at .01/.02 limits should take awhile (100 BB) and i dont like buying in for the minimuum since thats one bad hand from being broke. oh and yea that was the whole point of the post whats up with no limits between .01/.02 and .25/.50? i mean how much would it cost to have at least .02/.04 and .05/.10 or even better *for those who run sites* what about .01/.02, .02/.04, .05/.10, .10/.20, .25/.50.....? | Hey Mark, You are correct UB doesn't offer anything between 1/2c and 25/50c. Your also right that it would take for ever to build up enough playing 1/2c fixed limit to get enough for a decent 25/50c bankroll, but it can be done playing NL. UB does offer NLHE w/ a max $2 buy in and it is pretty easy to build up several dollars a sitting. Couple of solid sessions and you can be back to 25/50c in now time. (I would stick w/ the NL for pennies until you have enough for several 25/50c buy ins.) Lee | ||
