| I am new to limit holdem and was wondering would it be correct to call in small blind with ANY cards if there are 4 or 5 people limping in to see flop??? I usually use my regular starting hands in small blind but it seems like i miss a big flop at least once in a session(about 2 hours) by throwing away garbage cards. my thinking is this it cost 1/2 a small bet to see flop if I do it 20 times=5bb. If I catch one big flop(2 pair, set)I can usually make more than 5bb with 5 people limping in.Does anyone keep small blind statson this subject??Is this correct thinking or am I way off??also what is a must have book for low limit holdem. thanks | ||

| Hi Derek Calling with many customers automatically in the small blind is correct in a 2 chip 3 chip blind structure, but in a 2 chip 4 chip structure you must tighten up as the price the pot is laying youis much reduced! Throw away the trash in the 2-4 chip structured games! Life is Good :-) Roy Cooke on 15. | I agree with Roy that you should throw out your utter trash in a 2-4 blind structure but if your hand has some value, I'd put in the 2 chips if it's amulti-way pot and there's no raise. I'm talking about 65o 97o and the like. You should definitely call with any suited cards since your pot odds are perfect for a flush draw. | ||
