My brother recently purchased some 11.5 gram "suited" poker chips. Very heavy duty with quality sound. Ebay has plenty offerings of these and they seem to be the top of the line offered for home use.
What is the norm for those who play regular home games? These seem to be the best I've played with and most everyone who plays comments on the chips. Much better than the days of little 2 cent plastic ones. Thanks!

yeah, real clay chips are the way to go. my friend bought a set of nevada jacks, which are 11.5 or 12.5, not sure. come with the denomination on the face--basically, they are real casino chips. makes the game so much better than playing with those plastic things
