| Have any of you guys been watching celebrity poker on Bravo at all? I find it very instructional for spotting tells (especially since I don't get to play many if any live games here in rural Wisconsin). I especially liked the one where John was delt A-A. His hands were quivering and he was shaking noticably. According to Mike Caro's book of tells this isn't a bluff. It's a very strong hand. And I see now that it's TRUE! Jordan. | ||

| Funny that you mention this. I too think its an excellent tool for learning tells because they have a ton of them! | ||

| I was thinking how badly I'd love to sit with these wealthy celebrities and mop up. Jeez, these guys are terrible. I only watch because I have analog cable and can't get the Travel Channel, so have never seen a WPT show. But am I the only one that thinks that these celebrities stink? I thought people would be talking more about it here on UPF. Oh well, I guess there really isn't much else to say except: John Spencer is the worst poker player in history!!! After his very first hand raising UTG w/ 57o, I thought I was gonna get to see some action. But the rest of the night he's nothing but a calling station. And I like Phil Gordon, but he needs to speak up a little more. He definitely is lacking personality in front of the camera. But he's tall like me, so he's still alright in my book. Anyway, that was my celebrity poker showdown rant. I could go on and on but this is the strategy section and this is already pretty out of place. Sorry, all. - Big Todd | ||

| Celebrity Poker Showdown is on Bravo 9/8pm Tuesdays. They don't have many skills but I don't think they pretend to, either. One of the guys on the "West Wing" episode had never even played hold 'em before that night. | ||
