These two weren't really bad beats since my opponents were behind from the start. In fact, they kind of brought it on themselves by not acknowledging my solid play and giving me credit for the hands.

These are both $25 pot limit Hold'Em on PartyPoker.

Hand #1:
I get QQ in late position and make a pot-size raise. I get called in two places. The flop is three low cards, two diamonds (I don't have the Queen of diamonds). I make a pot-size bet, the first caller thinks, thinks, thinks and raises me the maximum amount. The other caller folds. I think about it for a few seconds: he didn't raise me pre-flop and he thought for a long time before raising me here so I'm not buying AA or KK. The highest card on the board is a nine. I decide he's on pocket Jacks and reraise. He reraises and puts me all in. I call. Turn is a nine (slightly scary), river is a blank and he shows JJ. I took down a nice fat pot with that one.

Hand #2:
I get AA (I forget my position but it's not like there's a spot I'm going to throw this away from) and I make a pot-size raise. I get reraised and everyone else folds. I reraise and he calls. The flop is non threatening so I bet the max and put him all in. River, turn, nothing. He turns up KK and I win another fat one.

In the previous week, I have had AA, KK and QQ all cracked SEVERAL times by inferior pairs (TT, 88, etc) and it's nice when they hold up.
