| I'll begin this message by saying that the game in question was a 10+1 Party Poker SnG. I know. Down to 4 players, everyone tightens up for their chance at the glorious guaranteed 20 dollars if they can hold on for one more player. Myself and one other player are about even for the chip lead with roughly 3000 each. Blinds are at 200/400. I'm in the big blind, he's in the small blind, both other players fold, he calls 200, I'm holding Ah6h, I raise to 1200. He calls. Flop comes down AdAcKs. Beautiful, I just hit a monster. Only possibilities running through my head are a better Ace or 2 Kings. I didnt put him on either based on his play throughout the entire game, he bet's out 1000, I figure him for pocket 9's or so. I wanted to take down the pot right here so as not to give him a chance to draw out to a full house if he did indeed have a pocket pair, I re-raise him for all of his chips, he calls instantly. Keep in mind this is Party Poker where if one player is all in they still dont show the cards until the river has been dealt out. So I wait. Turn, 6d. River, 8d. I am about to thank God for my streak of SnG wins when the pot moves towards him. He shows the 3d4d. I was crushed. Here you have a guy that called an 800 raise with 34s. Bet 1000 at an AAK rainbow flop. And finally, called all his chips in on another 1000 raise and made running diamonds for the 4 high flush. I just sat at my computer in agony as I ran through any and all possible things that would compel someone to make this play. As of yet, I've come up with nothing. Any thoughts? I'll be dreaming about this one for a while. -JJSCOTT2 | ||

| Is it just me...??? I thought AAA66 was a full house thus beating A 3 4 6 8 of diamonds.... I could be wrong though. Highflyin3484k (the now 19 yr oldpoker prodigy) | ||

| I would hope a self-proclaimed poker prodigy would be 100% certain about something like this. on 10. Dec 2003 20:23 Highflyin3484k wrote: > Is it just me...??? | How many more chips did he have to call your re-raise. I'm guessing it wasn't that many (there was already 5400 in the pot and Party SNG's only have 8000). He probably thought he could bluff you off with that scary of a flop, and when you re-raised, he figured that folding and saving the little chips he would have left wasn't worth it and he would take a shot at runner-runner. Not a smart play, but not completely moronic. Also, I think you got the cards wrong as the 6d would have made you a full house. | ||

| Um, yea what are you talking about dude? Either you're lying or you got your cards wrong. If you had A,6, with 2 Aces and a 6 on the board, then you would have had a full house, beating out his flush. | ||
