| Party Poker does not cheat, but some of it's players do. I have run into this phenomenon of people mysteriously disconnecting from their hand when they have alot of money in the pot and are facing a large raise, leaving them all in. It drives me ABSOLUTELY CRAZY and if they are doing it on purpose then it is a true DEFAMATION of the game of poker. Is there any recourse? ty------------------------------R | ||

| If this is happening with specific players - note them and email PP and tell them - that is cheating IMO. | ||

| I despise this "free card" play in cash games. However, if I were the one disconnected with a lot of money in the pot I don't think it would be fair to fold my hand in my absence either. I make a note on a guy everytime this happens (which fortunately isn't too often) so that if he does it multiple times with me at his table I can report him -- I haven't had to report anyone yet. I think it's an unavoidable pitfall of the online game. Anytime there is a rule to protect the honest it can and will be used to unfairly benefit the dishonest. | ||

| Party has recently tightened up the disconnect policy so that doing this on purpose will definitely hurt you in the long run. The support staff can no longer reset your all-in protections by hand. You *have* to wait until the time restrictions have expired. BTW, your all-in resets are timed from 00:00 ET. I have a DSL modem that overheats and makes it almost impossible for me a play a full hand for a few hours at a time. Thanks to the new policy, I now have to just stay off poker til it stabilizes for me, I simply can't risk playing without the disconnect protection. | ||
