| So I read this article off cardplayer.com I believe by Dabouch. He recently conducted an experiment of raising with crap/good cards in the sb every so often. His results showed a profit even though sometimes he did lose. He states in the article that it is best used at a higher level (20/40) with tight players. I tried it in $25 No Limit last night with about 5-6 players coming and going, three stayed the whole time i was there. So I usually played against 5 people. Every once in awhile, to not make it obvious, I would raise with some crap or some good cards. And sure enough it worked. I doubled my buy in faster than I have ever and very satisfied with how it turned out. What are your thoughts? A couple hands I had were 69o and Q8o and took it down with nothing when I was sure the other players had at least something. My favorite hand was pocket 2s. I checked the flop with overcards and reraised his bet (times 4) and he folded with middle pair. Ah, good times. I can't find the article online, but I do have it saved as a word doc if you are interested. Just give me your email and I will send it your way. | ||

| I like the play of raising in the small blind if the BB and the opponent(s) are the type of players I can "outplay" by raising and betting, causing them to fold . That way I can win the pot if nobody makes a hand. It also adds value to the times I make a hand. You can't do this too often as your opponents will pick up on this play. Life is Good :-) Roy Cooke on 9. Dec 2003 10:24 Stl10202 wrote: > So I read this article off cardplayer.com I believe by Dabouch.
