| Hi ! I am working on online poker project, infact writing small tech stuff so people who want to develope poker solutions can get more information . I will appreciate all the help by you experts in the forum . 1. I would like to know is it important to provide "all-in" option on diconnection to the user or is the 30seconds for reconnection is enough for online poker site ? Infact what i means is , that is it important for a online poker site to have "all-in" option for diconnection ? | ||

| 30 sec is NOT enought time, a DSL miodem can take almost a full minute to fully reboot. | ||

| You must absolutely have all in protection. Although other players will inevitably complain about all in abuse (which you can monitor for) if you have no all in protections there will be numerous cases of players holding the stone cold nuts with 90% of their money in the pot, a disconnection, and a misdirected pot. What that means is too high a risk - nobody will want to play. I certainly wouldn't be playing a game for any kind of money where I knew a computer crash could cost me a whole pot that I was entitled to. | ||

| I guess it depends on your situation. I don't install lots of crappy adware and spyware programs on my computers so they pretty much never crash. Couple that with a solid cable modem, and It really wouldn't bother me if the sites had no all in protection. I'd make more from other people getting booted out when I would have lost then losing connection myself... Good times, ReMMy | ||

| If you have a computer that never crashes *and* an ISP that never fails *and* a city power grid that never goes down, even when lightning is striking and trees are blowing down, then maybe you're right not to worry about it. | ||
