| Hello, I have been playing some hold em with some friends. We are just getting started and learning. This may sound ridiculous but can somebody explain a few common terms? We play according to watching games so we are still learning before diving into money. Maybe we know what they are but not the exact names. Please can some explain what these are- the Button, Blinds, also can someone clarify the betting order? I read one post and then a different post had different order. Also, is there a winning order when it comes to pocket pairs and flop pairs? Sory these are so basic but like I said we are just starting and we all want to learn the right way before jumping into money games. Thanks. | ||

| After reading the info that deaky provided, if you're still not 100% certain you have everything down, you could try some on the play money tables on-line. These aren't great for learning strategy but they will help you get accustom to how the game is played. Good luck. | ||
