| I imagine that people have mentioned this tell before, but I just haven't really seen it posted here. So I figured I would mention it. You know when you bet into a player and they look at you and call. And you kinda see that set to their chin a bit. Kinda a bit of determination and a bit of defiance in their eye. It is quite obvious if you have your eyes open. The player will also think a bit more and will usually look you in the eye for at least a bit. Every time I've seen it, that look of defiance, the player has middle pair or top pair bad kicker, but he thinks I'm bluffing and is going to call me all the way. So, if my opponent makes the "resigned calling face" I won't pull the trigger again if I'm bluffing, but if I have top pair good kicker, I will lead out again. The "I'm on a draw face" is usually a bit less defiant. When a player is on a draw and is paying a price for his draw they usually look accepting of the bet because they know that it is the price they have to pay to draw for a winner. They also tend to call more quickly without looking at peoples faces as much. They might even have counted out the chips for the call ahead of time. When it gets raised after them and they get a slight unhappy face or unhappy tilt to their head just as it happens it makes it even more obvious. I have heard of lots of tells for players that have good hands or for players that are bluffing. But I can't really recall too many discussions about the tells of players that call and the manner that they do so. If others have other "calling tells" share away, and if you think my tells are incorrect go ahead and make fun of me...or at least correct me. | ||
