| How much should I buy in for in a NL cash game in relation to the blinds? What about if it was limit? Thanks in advance. | ||

| If you feel comfortable in the no limit game and feel like you are one of the best players at the table, then you should bring as much as you're allowed. I always like to have more than everyone else at the table. Can't break someone if your stack is smaller than theirs. For the limit game, about 25 big bets is reasonable, with a reload if you get lower than half that. | ||

| Thanks for the reply. Would it make a difference if the table was short-handed, and (for NL) what if there is no limit to how much u can buy in for? | ||

| Shorthanded shouldn't really make too much difference, although with the bigger swings, you may want to buy in for more in limit so you don't have to reload. It doesn't really matter, it's just a matter of convenience. If there's no maximum for the no limit buy in, I'd want more than everyone else in front of me, as long as I was comfortable losing that much. Lee | ||
