| I have been rewatching some of biggest money losers curtesy of Poker Tracker and one thing I have noticed is a tendancy to be too aggressive post flop. This was also pointed out but some here in response to my statistcis. Here is the game $2-4 on Party, no specific reads on players but it is a standard LL party game ie..loose. I have 33 from sb, 3 callers to me I call BB checks. Flop comes 3s Kh 2s I check intending to check raise BB checks, EP bets, MP calls, I raise, BB reraises, EP caps. MP folds, I call, BB calls Turn Ah I check, BB bets, EP raises, I reraise. BB calls, EP1 caps I call, BB calls River 7s putting spade flush draw I check, BB checks, EPbets I call, BB calls BB has K2 for two pair EP has A10s for the flush 2 questions, How did I play the hand? And your thoughts on EP's play with nut flush draw? | ||

| I like the way you played it. In the games I play, people dont raise much with the nut flush draw unless they have position and raise for the free card. When I read your post I figured one guy had 2 pair or a set of 2's and the other for KQ. | ||

| I hate to say anything bad about the EP, because it sounds too much like hands I might have played :-) However, I would think EP overplayed his hand a bit, to put it mildly. And, I would hope he continues to play like that with that same hand. If my calculations are right, he made a total of 7.5 big bets to net 19.5 big bets, giving him less than 3:1 on his money. Doesn't seem like particularly smart play on a hand that is 14:1 to come in pre-flop, especially with the agression being shown by the blinds on that board. Jim | ||

| sounds like EP pushed very hard on his hand he got what he wanted preflop *several callers no raise* he is drawing to the nuts on the flop, he is almost sure he will get you and BB to call the flop so odds are there for his cap *pushy pushy* he turned top pair and got thinking about more outs most likely for his betting on the turn he rivers the nuts and bets you played it fine only thing i could see doing different is betting out on the flop (not saying you should just another option) but other than getting MP to fold sooner i dont really see anything different happening would suggest making a note *if online* that this player is super aggressive and maybe you want to avoid him *why play against someone like this if you dont have to* Rule #1 of Poker Circumstances alter cases Rule #2 NEVER forget rule #1 | ||
