my wife and I caught it while were just channel surfing. Being absolute newbies, it was very educational watching how the pros do it.

It was a real surprise seeing Moneymaker take out Johnny Chan at the end... my wife and I were both screaming at the TV for him to fold.

Why would you want him to fold the best hand and the best draw? That would be terrible poker.

I guess that just shows my perspective as a newbie. It just seems that if he had folded, he would have kept his chips and not been eliminated.

Welcome to the wonderful world of poker and the UPF.

This is a great site to chat about poker and learn a few pointers.....there is actually one player who post regularly on here who was in that tourney and received some tv time (unfortunately, it is probably a hand that he would like to forget).

Did you want Chan to fold or Moneymaker to fold? I think noiseboy thought you meant Moneymaker in your first post (so did I). In which case, yea, I agree, I wish Chan would have folded. I like him and would have liked to see him play some more.
