| what is the best way to handle the stack of tournament players who will be late, the way that is the fairest to the late player, the table that he is at and any other tables that are involved? if a player is going to be late and has not prepaid the money for a home tournament entry, what should i do with his stack? 1. put his stack in play and blind him off until he arrives and pays? 2. put his stack in play for a predetermined time, blind him off and remove his stack once the deadline is reached? 3. put his stack to the side, blind off his chips but don't put them in any pots in play - throw them away as it were- and if he shows up, have him pay and let him in with what remains of his stack? the last option allows you to not change the game and chip stacks artificially if he was never going to be in the game and does not pay his entry, but i was not sure if it was unfair to that table to be shorted chips that could be won or at least blinded off without risk. is the advantage of having a dead stack too great for the two players to the right of the dead stack, overcoming the advantage to the rest of the table of occasional dead money? should the answer be different if it is a multiple table tournament? is it an advantage or a disadvantage to the other tables for one table to be short a player, but also short his chips to be won? in a home tournament, what should be the deadline for coming late, if there is a deadline? do any of your answers change if this is a casino tournament versus a home tournament? thanks LL | ||

| if he has not prepaid then just leave him out of the tourney . If you trust him enough to buy him in do so. simply blind off his chips till he gets there or untill the break if he hasnt arrived by the break take the stack down. | ||
