| this one isnt quite the same as the first one. no limit holdem again. im in 2nd place with 4 players left. ive got 100k, chip leader with about 300k. Im in the small blind, and the chip leader is to the right of the big blind. this guy is calling the majority of the blinds that arent raised. im delt king 2 spades, so i call the big blind, and so does the chip leader. flop comes 3 5 king. i cant put this guy on a king, since ive seen him turn up horrible cards before, like 7/4 off suit, and things like that. also, 2 spades on the flop. i dont want this guy calling if i make a small blind, he could easily have a straight draw. so i go all in. big blind folds, he calls with king queen. and i lose obviously i coulda played this different, i really didnt want him to see another card, and i figured my kings were good, and if they werent, id atleast have the flush draw. how would you guys have played it? | ||

| Your post is kind of choppy and hard to understand. How much were the blinds? Although top pair and a flush draw is a strong hand, I dont think I would want to risk all my chips just to win whatever 3 times the BB is. Its not a contest to see who can win the most pots. Why not make a pot size bet and see what happens? If he doesnt have a king he will fold. If he does he will reraise and you can decide from there but at least then you are playing for a huge pot and not just the BBx3. In this case it probably wouldnt have mattered though. | ||

| the blinds were around 10k at this point, so the blinds themselves would have almost doubled my stack. i would be happy with the blinds. lol. so i would need to put 30k of my 40k to bet the pot size. | ||

| You said that you had 100k and you called the BB leaving you with either 90k or 95k depending on whether your 100k was after posting. If the blinds were 10k, the pot would be 30k. A pot sized bet would leave you with 65k or 60k. Also, you said the big stack was to the right of the BB. Wouldnt that make HIM the SB? You said YOU were the SB. I cant figure your post out sorry. | ||

| Check/fold. You are 1 doubling up through the chip leader from being tied for the chip lead. Why risk your entire stack on a shite hand like K2?? | ||

| Hmm... even with the flush draw you'd check/fold, shorn? Even if the other guy does have a bigger king, he's got 12 outs, and it sounds like that's a big if with this other guy in the pot. Lee | ||

| I think betting out pot sized would work to gauge his strength, you gotta remember that your kicker is garbage so if anbody has any king they beat you. As far as the statement about the gaming club, your right the play there is just terrible. | ||
