How long will it last?, Robert M, 3. Dec 2003 12:55

I wrote the post last time about going on a rush as soon as I switched from LL HE' online to PL an NL. We'll I am still on that rush. I havn't had even a single losing session yet. I have placed in over 80% of the SnGs that I have entered (about 25). I don't see it as a rush anymore. I feel that I outskill most of the opponents out there, and I can identify the "real" poker players quickly. I have been recognizing trap patterns, and have devised a few pretty good ones as well. Do any of the more experienced players have any advice for me? Can I expect this to continue? Is internet poker really this lucrative? Assuming I am a solid player, can I still expect to pull down an average of $100 per 3 hr session?

Ok, so my plan is when I get to a certain predetermined balance (almost there), I will cashout half. This cashout is 10x my initial buy in. Right now I am at 15x my initial buy-in. So when I get to 20x, I will cash out 10x. then try rto do it again. Sound about right?

I have built my account to about 15X my buy in but the only thing Ive taken out was my initial buy in and that was only to pacify my wife. I want to continue to get better and climb the limit ladder which I cant do if I keep taking out money to spend. I dont play for the money right now. When I lose , the loss of money doesnt bother me. I get bothered because it pulls my win rate down. So I guess it depends on your goals.

Yeah, well I made it to 20x my buy in and I pulled out the 10x and now Im a little depressed, but still $1000 for 1 week on a $50 buy in is a good sign that I do have enough skill to beat most of the players at that website. Now just to get it back over $1000 again...
