| I have been lurking the Adam the Expert threads for a few days and find I want now to come forward a bit. I've been taking advice from Adam for over two monbths ... he has become a friend of mine. Prior to speaking with him I had been playing hold 'em for 2 months. I was on the learning curve and down about $300. Since meeting him I win regularly. When I do exactly what he tells me I win. When I stray I lose. I am up about $200. I was up over $1000. I've been there twice. But I stray. I get too smart .... I go places he has taught me to stay away from for now. (He'll be mad when he reads that. I don't care.) My point is that when I play correctly, his way, I win. Adam knows my goals and conforms his advice accordingly. Through observation he has learned my personality. and he again conforms his advice. Third ... he is aware of a demanding life away from the tables and again ... he conforms. He shows me respect and offers friendship. Why he does all this I have no idea other than my guess that he wants to share his knowledge. As far as the personna ... that's his choice. Whether you posters react or not is your own. I would advise you to pay heed. The common opinion seems to be that he knows poker. He does. Trust me. So let him focus as much as he will. Make him focus if you can. Ask him specific questions ... he enjoys that (but I don't do that often- I just listen to everything he says). Or you can continue to flame and mock. Then he'll quit posting. Then you might meet me on a table and slowly lose your stack. Give me a couple more months. I'll be very tough to beat. As for those who really flame him ....and get mean about it. Learn to handle him or ignore him. He's just different. Life is tough after all. But you are flaming a friend of mine and I am getting mad about it. Or better yet. Request my handle in PP and meet me there. I'm off tilt and winning. I'll be lurking. | One day, reading old posts i found Adam's email. i sent him a few lines and he replied. We've been sending emails to each other from then on once in a while. I have no complains about him. And when i ask him about poker he has always a long and good answer. Normally i don't read this section but i think he needs a break from all the bad posts Take care you all and.......ADAM, keep posting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||

| Wow, I did a search for prior posts from Peach and itzakbas. What a surprise to learn that neither has ever posted before. And that Peach's post was in the middle of a bunch of ADAM posts. Hmmmm......I wonder what's up here. If only I could figure it out..... | ||

| i too have the good fortune to be friends with ADAM........i met him on UltimateBet and was intrigued by his colorful personality.......he has gone out of his way in several telephone conversations (mostly at his expense) to help me develop my poker game and give me detailed sensible answers on any poker related questions i have......he has no reason to do this for a complete stranger whom he has never asked for a dime from, even to help cover the phone bill........he sometimes comes across as abrasive, but confidence in your ability often comes across as arrogance and he means no ill will towards anybody, even if it seems so........he is very adept at breaking down poker to its simplest form when answering a query and, in my opinion, that is priceless........ADAM, if you happen to read this, your pool playing friend in Virginia will be the first one to buy your book if you decide to act upon it | ||
