A complaint about online poker, rambler, 30. Nov 2003 01:15

When I play online some times at certain sites i've played only show the winning hand. I find it very frustrating to not see what the others that went to showdown had. At one site they would auto muck everything but the top two hands. In many cases three or four people were calling but their cards were auto mucked. I guess this is done to keep things moving along and more hands played means more rake but I think it is important to see everyone that stayed in hand.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?

i notice with online sites (maybe its the rng random nuber enerator) i tend to make a flush more times than not...its to the point where wont play the hand if i see 2 same suits on the flop (usually)

I play at UB, and at the showdown, they show the first hand, then muck everything else that doesn't have it beat - if you can't beat the best hand showing, you're mucked. I check the hand history to find out what all the callers had, but I find this quite annoying.

Deal with it. In live games, most people muck the losing hand in a showdown also. This emulates real life, why should it be any different than live games?

This procedure is the same as live money games in B & M casinos....The winning hand is shown and the other players muck their losing hands.

You can pull hand histories of the called losing hands and see what they had!

Life is Good :-)

As part of my "training" I watch from the rail a larger game than I can play, often times keeping the hand history screen to the side to see what the mucked hand was, this makes it more interesting and gives me the opportunity to attempt to gain knowledge about that players betting pattern and an attempt to read the hand. This wouldn't happen at a live card game.
