So I am looking to buy some clay poker chips. Anyone know any reputable internet sites that can help me out? I am looking at pokerchips.com and homecasinogames.com and they seem to be the best one so far from a google search. I was just wondering if there were any hiding from me. Thanks in advance.

Try www.viptrades.com
You will save a few cents per chip over homecasinogames.com
Dont even bother with the other site. They are way too pricey.
I have purchased twice at viptrades.com and am very satisfied.
Clay chips add so much to home games.
Make sure to buy enough and get your chips personalized, either with initials or logo.

I buy my chips from a local party store. I get 100 clay chips for $29+tax Canadian. ($1us=$1.3can). The clay chips have no special printing on them but are weighted clay chips (50 white, 25 blue, 25 red). I run a lot of home games so I buy more as my number of patron increase. I still use my original set from like 6 years ago. (I know have over 20 sets or 2000 chips). I would be careful about some online prices, they'll add a gold leaf to the basic design and call the "emperor series" and charge you double. Best place to buy chips is in crappy gift shops off of Fremont in Las Vegas.

Good Luck!

Newbie question: Wouldn't clay chips break more easily than plastic?

How durable are they?

Clay is what they play with at the casino. Check Ebay before you buy, I bought a nice set for $89 USD

Clay as in highpressure/they look like space shuttle material, rather then "Hey, some clay that use to belong to Jesus".

I've bought 4 or 5 sets of poker chips off Ebay. I highly recommend it.

If you want real nice PaulSon clay chips though you might have to be willing to wait a few weeks as they are not always offered for auction.

I got 200 of them from Bed Bath & Beyond for $39. They are clay chips but not quite as heavy as the ones on ebay. My friend bought 300 of those for somewhere around $60. Both of them are fine.

I bought some for my son at a site but later found I could get the same chips for a better price on ebay. I'd check there first.
