I won my first multi-player NLHE tournament last night and I just wanted to thank everyone who contributes to UPF for their help and advice - especially Shorn who answered a few of my early posts with some great advice on betting amounts and forcing people off hands. I won't bore you with a total rundown but there were 133 players. I went to the final table as chip-leader but got busted into last position by quad A's followed by an all-in suck-out. I waited for the right hands with about T18,000 (blinds at T2000/4000). Went all-in on some strong hands, stole a few blinds, caught a couple of sets to knock people out and ended up with an 8:1 chip lead over 2nd place. Thanks again everyone - your enthusiasm for and knowledge of the game has kept me from cashing in for good after a bad run. Cheers big ears!
