| I have noticed that the $1/$2 games tend to be a lot tighter and they don't give up much. Seriously, you wouldn't think there would be that much of a difference but if you look at the players starting stats there is. In a $0.5/$1.00 game almost any table you go to will have 4+ people that see over 50% of the flops. This is extremely loose. Jump over to a $1/$2 game and there is usually one or two people in the 30%-40% range but everyone else is in the 15%-25% range. The table average is usually about 20-25% seeing the flop and there is almost always a pre-flop raise. It is almost impossible to find people that are over 50% and by the time you do, you can only get a couple playable hands against him before he is carved up and broke. They also don't give any free cards. I've noticed this gets much, much more prevalent late at night. Right after work it's not too bad and you can find some fish but later on it gets a lot tighter. I'm not saying they are great poker players, I'm just saying there is a huge difference between these 2 levels. In contrast, I haven't really noticed a difference in $1/2 and $3/6 on Party and $3/6 at my local casino plays a lot more like $0.50/1 than it does like a $3/6 game... Anyone else notice this or am I just consistantly finding crap tables? | ||

| I don't notice much difference between the $.50/$1 and $1/$2 at PartyPoker. I get chased down and sucked out on constantly at both levels and at both levels the chasing is usually done with absolutely no regard for the price the pot is laying the player to chase. I can't speak for any other online sites because I only play at PartyPoker when I play online. SpaceAce | ||

| The $1 tables I've been playing lately were pretty fishy too. I think it really depends on what time of day you play at. At 3:00 all the fish are sleeping... | ||

| You might be seeing the (in)famous SoCal effect if you are finding strange (I know, an understatement) play between the hours of 5PM and Midnite Pacific Time. As for the 3/6 B&M games playing like .50/1 online, it is my feeling that the lowest limit spread at a B&M will usually play like the lowest limits spread online simply because you have the same type of players at both. That is, you will find the players who want to play for as little as possible in any given environment. Jim | ||
