A lesson -- I think?, hokie95, 26. Nov 2003 15:56

Tonight I was playing a SnG on UB. Things went real bad right away, so I jumped into another SnG minutes after I started the first one.

Lo and behold, in the first SnG, I'm dealt K9s in the BB, flop comes K-9-x. 2 Spades. I make a pot sized bet, I get raised and call. (There had been no preflop raise, so I can't figure out what raises that flop, so I called, putting me all in.)

Raiser has AK spades. I'm surprised, but hey, I'm ahead.

Turn is a spade. I immediately start paying attention to the new SnG.

The River? The case K. I make K's full. I'm now in the middle of the pack, over T1000.

I become the chip leader in SnG 1 and then start to ignore SnG 2. In 2, I am folding, randomly going all-in to steal, etc.

Sudden;y I look up and see there are 7 empty chairs!!! I have T275 and am in the money.

There's a lesson in there somewhere.

And I came in 2d in the SnG 1. Pretty good hour.
