Many of us know the feeling of being all in on a hand, only to realize someone has called you with a much better hand. And ofcourse you see the 5 community cards to see if you can get lucky and outdraw that guy.

My question for you all is: What is the worst possition you can be in, heads up against someone, before any community cards are shown? for example: you could have King of hearts and King of diamonds, while your opponent has Ace of hearts and Ace of diamonds, in which case you would have about a 17% chance of winning, obviously this isnt the worst possition you can be in.

Get your brains going! good luck, and the answer isnt as obvious as it seems.

I'm pretty sure it's KK vs K2o with the 2 sharing a suit with one of the kings.

Heh, I knew it ahead of time. Wasn't it on the frontpage of cardplayer.com a month or two ago?

i guess i wasnt very clear in the wording of the question, but im looking for the lowest percent chance of winning the hand, and believe it or not, king king against king 2 isnt the answer!

Just a guess, but it would have to be where your hand is completely dominated, as AA vs. A6, where your 6 is the same suit as one of your opponents aces. In this instance, the only way that you could win would be to get two 6's on the board without the case ace, or backing into a four-flush with your ace or four-straight with your 6. The same applies with A7, A8 and A9.

Thinking a little more, I suppose 77 vs. 72 (offsuit) would be the worst, since you would have only 2 4-card straights that you could make with your deuce. That's my guess with only a couple minutes' thought. Am I anywhere close?

yep, now you just gotta figure out which suits they would need to be to give 7/2 the worst chance of winning
