| Friday, November 7, 2003 Ward and I were talking at the 4/8 table on Thursday night. He said his wife had seen the pic of me on the journal homepage and asked, "Who is that?" Ward told her it was me, and she was amazed. She didn't even know it was me. Felicia in the poker room and Felicia made-up are two totally different beasts. I always get a kick out of it when people say online, "I don't know how anyone could mistake you for a man" and other comments. I really am two different people, I guess. Funny how baggy sweats, mussed hair and lack of make-up can make a person look so completely different that dozens of observers will swear she is not even the same person at all. I took 14th at the Omaha tourney. I went all-in, late in the tourney, with the best hand: A246 double suited, but was outdrawn by a loose caller when his AJxx made two pair. Glenn took sixth. Go Glenn! I met Tanya, a poster on Poker Clan. It was really hilarious, because Tanya was the same girl that I eliminated in the Omaha tourney about a month ago. The one who said she was just trying to steal the blinds, when she ran into my A234 (or something like that). We both laughed when we realized that we already had met. Tomorrow is the big 10/20 game again. I have been reading and studying all week, trying to fix the holes in my game. I need to deal with solid, aggressive players better. I have been coasting and hit a brick wall last Saturday. I tried to play the same old way, coming from behind, trapping players, snapping off bluffs. It works great with players who bluff too much, but when solid, ABC players outnumber the "regular" crew, my skills don't work out quite so well. I definitely have found some holes, and hopefully have patched them. Felicia :) | ||
