| When the levels increase to a point that a certain type of chip is no longer needed (blinds are $100-200 and bets are 200-400) then the $25 chips are no longer needed. Everyone changes their $25 chips into $100 for every 4 that they have. The leftovers (0-3 per person) are then put in front of each player. The players are then given a card for each $25 chip they have. These chips are then totaled and a $100 chip is given out to the highest cards for every 4 that are out there and usually one for any left over (10 chips left- give out 3-$100 chips 4,4,2). Some places say 1 person can't win 2 others give it strictly to the highest cards. Guinnessman | ||

| is it highest hand or highest card? Im just wondering what you do if there are 10 chips left and 3 people get an ace? Is there a kicker, or do the 3 aces split the 10 chips? Thanks | ||

| You get 1 card for each of the extra chips you have. The chips are won by the highest cards only. Lets say there are 10 extra $25 chips so they will be giving out 3 and I had 3 extra and you had 2 and three other players had 2, 2, and 1. I have A,10,3 you have Q, 5 the third player had K,2 the fourth 7,6 and the fifth had an 8. The three highest cards on the board are A, K and Q and I would get one, you would get one and the third player would get one. If there is a tie for the last chip then there is another race just between players that tied with just 1 card each until there is a winner. This is just a way to keep the total # of chips lower on a table (not the total value) so you don't have to move a mountain of $25's to make a $1000 bet late in a tourney. Guinnessman | ||

| This is the only time suits matter. If there is more than 1 Ace, the bridge suites are used. Spade Hearts Diamonds Clubs In that order (it is reverse alpha). | ||
