| Well, I busted out 39th out of 400 yesterday on the Super Bowl Qualifier for UB....I am a little disappointed in myself. I was trying to make the top 20 and should of been more careful....Here is the hand I busted out on - what are your thoughts? I had just moved to the table so I did not have a great read on the makeup of the table.....I had been playing very tight and had built up my 255 starting chips to about 1800..Shortstacked but hanging in there ...blinds are 150/300. Hand before I got pocket kings - I raised 1000 and everyone folded...next hand I get pocket queens (I am in EP here )(should of been wary here - damn ladies kill me every time) I raise 1000 again (First mistake) every one folds to the BB - the BB is a big stack - about 6000 or so. They think for a long time before calling .... Flop comes Axx with 2 hearts. I bet all in because I did not put the BB on an Ace - put them on 10 10 or 9 9. The person thinks again for a long time and finally calls - flips over a Q6 of hearts and of course a heart falls on the river ending my chances to go to the super bowl..... Overall I am happy with my play but I think the one mistake I made on this hand is that I should of gone all in pre flop - but I was trying to have some chips left if the flop was bad - What do you all think of my play? | ||

| You playd superbly. Going all in probably would have caused him to win, which simply earns you the blinds. Instead you got a moron to call w/ Q6s, which is a horrible play. Now he hits his 4 flush draw on the flop....You go all in and he calls again, which is a horrible play because if he does hit his flush, which he has to assume is his only outs, he is unable to get anymore money out of you. You played this perfectly and he got lucky, don't let the outcome dictate the validity of your play. Good times, ReMMy | ||

| Sounds like a good play to me. Going all in preflop can be tricky in EP with QQ. You made the right read and made the corrstc bet. Unfortuneately with the size of his stack he had to call with his draw. You were a decent favorite but he came from behind and caught. I went all in recently in a tourney coming over the top of a preflop raise with QQ. Thinking back I should have played differently. The raiser in EP was the only caller and he ahd AKo. The exact hand I put him on. Thinking back, since I had him on that hand I should have sinmply called. The flop came all uncoordinated undercards. Here is wherre I should have pushed in because now I'm better than a coin flip favorite. I think he''d have folded. If an A or K came on the flop I could have folded saving myself. Anyway, he caught his A on the river to knock me out. Our chips were darn near even but he ahd me covered by about T50 early in this tourney. The blinds escaletd rather quickly, every 15 minutes and they were already at 50/100, everone started with T1000 and I was just down a bit so I was hoping to double through not bust out. Anyway I digress, QQ can be tricky but you made a good play IMO. John | ||

| I played in the one yesterday for the Super Bowl also. Started with 460 and managed to make it to the top 30 after a cold run of hole cards. Finally, on the FIRST hand after the break I get wired jacks and move all-in with only 2200 and 300/600 blinds. AJo calls. Flop is K Q T. Good night, thanks for playing. Good to know someone on here feels my super bowl pain. | ||
