| Hi. Last night I played a $200 NL SnG for fun after I had finished my on-line session. I got into a situation where I was a little short on chips (hey, it can happen). I had about 750 left with five players to go (three get paid) with an average stack of 2000 playing 200-400. I was the big blind, so I had committed 200 of my stack. All folded to the big blind, who raised the minumum. I held Jc8c, and decided I might as well see the flop (I did not want to raise with this kind of hand). Flop was QJ9, no suits, and SB pushed all in. I felt I had to call with my pair and stright draw, as puny as it was with my little stack.. Well, he held Q8, so I was drawing verrrry thin, but I hit a J and doubled through. Next hand, I was in the small blind with AcQc. All folded to the button (same guy, of course) who pushed all in again. I had him well covered this time, and I called figuring him for revenge or tilt. . He had AK, as it happens, but I flopped a flush draw and rivered a Q to eliminate him. [After that I played well, and won the thing]. He then spent a few minutes yelling at me over the chat. Not that it bothered me, but I wondered. Here I was seemingly trying to give him my stack, and he yells at me!? Later I realized that the problem with on-line poker is that you cannot blame the dealer! You can't scream at him, or throw your cards, or refurse to tip him for a year or anything. So on-line players yell at the players instead. Wierd. huh? BarryT | ||
