| Ok, so I was playing this morning. Didn't whine when I was all in with my AA and someone got their kicker paired on the turn. Didn't whine when somebody called huge bet after huge bet to catch their inside straight draw on the river. I didn't even let it get to me when they started talking about how they were better players than me with their lucky draws. But here's what gets me: I don't think some people understand what slow playing or bluffing really are. For instance: You can't bluff someone by only just CALLING THEM. In a NL game, I saw player A bet out really large preflop, player B calls. The flop is AK3 rainbow. Player A bets, player B raises a large sum, player A calls. Turn is a Q. Player A checks, Player B goes all-in, player A calls. Player A turns over 6 8 offsuit. Player B turns over AK. What was going through player A's mind? I would think the guy clicked the wrong button, but he did this MULTIPLE TIMES. The guy lost 50 dollars in like 10 hands, calling people down to the river with NOTHING. YOU CAN'T BLUFF SOMEONE BY CALLING THEIR ALL-IN!!!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!! Another scenario: this actually happend to me. Long story short, after a lot of betting, my opponent caught his inside straight draw to give him the nut straight. He had a 36, and the board was AQ245 (no flush potential). I went all-in (which was really stupid in hindsight), and the guy waited UNTIL THE COUNTER HAD DROPPED DOWN TO 1 SECOND LEFT to call. Without flush potential or a pair on the board, the guy had the absolute nuts. Did he think he was slowplaying me? After I'm ALREADY all-in, you aren't deceiving me. YOU AREN'T BEING SMOOTH. YOU CAN'T SLOW PLAY ME AFTER I'M ALL IN!!!!! Then the guy proceeded to talk about how he was so much better than me, and that he made such great and wonderful plays. Sigh. I'm sorry...the above behaviors are just so stupid I have to bang my head against a wall. Repeatedly. | ||

| Sounds like a great table, though it sux when the fish keep laying the beats on you. I always think about this quote from Bobby Baldwin (I don't remember the exact wording) that it's an illusion that players are always getting lucky on you when you are a good player. The thing is the good player is always getting their money in with the best of it, so they also take more beats. What site, what limit? If you don't mind me asking. | ||

| You ask what limit and site? Take a lucky guess: Party NL $25 Seriously can't wait for my bankroll to get to the point where I feel comfortable playing in NL 50 or 100. | ||
