| I live about 45 min from Orlando and I work in Lake Mary. Many of my poker friends live in Northern Florida and we rarely get a chance to play. I am hoping to meet a few people on this forum that would be interested in getting a local tourney together. I would love to set something up once a month or so if we can get 10 or more people together. I would love to host but I do not have a card table and my house like I said is a decent drive from Orlando. I'm not really in this to try and make money but I don't get a chance to play B&M very much and enjoy the "live poker" atmosphere. An ideal situation would be 10-20 of us in the area (if someone would offer to host) and we could play some "low limit" games or tourneys and watch some football or something. I can bring plenty of food and drinks if someone would be kind enough to offer a meeting place. When I say low limit...I mean I will probably bring $75-100 and we could play a $1/$2 limit game or I would prefer a $50 tourney or something. If this sounds like your cup of tea, please let me know...we can try to set something up in the next few weeks. I can probably get 2 buddies to come, so if we can get 7+ guys/gals from this forum that are interested, i think it would be a great time. Like I said, I'm not in it to make anyone go broke, but for the pure enjoyment of live poker. I consider myself an advanced beginner or early intermediate player, my buddies are the same. There must be some of you guys out there in the Orlando area interested. Please reply! | ||

| Hey, I'm in Jacksonville, but we have about 20 players who play semi regularly. Most of it is just for fun, only about 6 or 7 of us are "serious" about playing. So we don't play huge limits, heck a lot of time it is just nickle dime quarter dealers choice, depending on who we have. We play nearly every friday night at my place, and some saturdays as well. It is all friends and family, but we do do some small tourneys now and then. Dunno what we could do and who would want to drive where, but some 1/2 could be fun with a group of guys...although you do realize you can play 1/2 in both Tampa and Daytona, neither are that huge of a drive for you. | Well, I have about 5 friends in Gainesville I could get to play. If we could find a meeting spot up there somewhere, we could do a lower limit tourney. They all love to play NL tourneys. I think they usually do around a $30 or $40 one time buy-in. Would this be a possibility? | ||
