i would like to know how to get started in playing poker on line. do i open a bank account for this purpose only....or a credit card? i would appreciate some info on this joelene

there are a few methods but what I would suggest is that you open a bank account if you don't already have one and then get a neteller account set up to transfer money from and back into your account. The neteller account is free and doesn't charge any fees for teh transfers. www.neteller.com Hope that helps some.

Just go to any of the sites (ParadisePoker, PartyPoker, et al), download the software, and they will walk you through the various deposit options. I personally use Neteller. Incidentally, many sites will give you a bonus on your first deposit, usually 20% or 25% to some max.
I suggest you play for fun at first (i.e., for "play money") until you are comfortable, then open a real money account.
