| LL Holdem average loose passive table. I get late and raise with 4 callers ahead of me and BB calls my raise to make it 6 (no one drops) Flop comes 922 rainbow Blind checks and MP player bets. I dont really have any read on him but I haven't been impressed by any of the players yet. two callers to me I raise, blind calls, and Original Raiser reraises I more caller to me and I call. Here I am thinking maybe A2 but also just as easily a nine. Turn is a blank he bets and I raise. Its here I really want to find out where I am at. blind folds and he calls as does one other who I know to be loose passive its three handed at this point but I am really only concerned about one. I figure to atleast have a 60% chance of being ahead here and at the very least I seem to have slowed him down. River is nothing he checks as does the other, I think and then check as well. He turns over 10,10 and I win. Comments on raise on the turn and should i have bet river | ||

| why not bet the river? Give your opponent the chance to lay it down. Theres only two way to win this game. 1 have the best hand. 2 have your opponent lay his down. So give him the chance to do it. This of course assumes you have an opponent capable of making a laydown. If i make it all the way to the river, I'm not lookig for a reason to bet. I'm looking for a reason not to. | ||

| Look at it this way, you would bet the river for one of two reasons: 1- You want a lesser hand to call so you get more money out of him, or 2- You want a better hand to lay-down so you take a pot that you would loose if you show down. In this case, you fall sqaurely into one of these two (most likely #1), so the bet on the river is warrented. -Moz "One November spawned a monster in the shape of this child..." | ||
