I was playing a limit SNG today. I was starting to fall behind so I signed up to play a NL SNG. The NL SNG started while the limit SNG was still going. Before I knew it, I had made a comeback on the limit SNG. I dont know if youve ever tried to play limit and NL at the same time but its very confusing. I was able to get to the final 4 players in both as the chip leader. After that the play got so fast that playing 2 at a time and trying to decide to bet, raise, fold, how much to raise...it was mind numbing. I ended up coming in 3rd in both but wouldve done better in either one individually. I played lousy after I got in the money. Just couldnt keep up. Thsi is for trained professionals only. Dont try this at home!

iceman:

For awhile I was on the routine of playing three games at a time--a NL SNG, a Limit SNG and a No Limit ring game. I'd pay the most attention to the NL SNG, and play the other two in "passive mode." It actually worked at first, because all of the action forced me to play smart poker, because I didn't have time to mess around with small pairs, suited connectors and KJ offsuit. I'd really start paying attention to the Limit SNG when there were about 5 people left. It amazed me that you can get to the final 5 without paying much attention, but I digress . . . anyway, the No-Limit ring game ended up doing in my bankroll to a large degree. Instead of playing hands to the River (due to time) I was turning into an "All in or nothing" guy, and losing tons of money. By the time the SNGs were done I'd be down 10 or 20 times my entry fee on the ring game. So now I stick to two at a time--one Limit and one No Limit. In my opinion, one of each is easier than two NL tournaments, because the Limit tourneys are so straightforward. All you have to do is play "by the book," and turn it up a notch when the table clears out.
