| I'm UTG and get Qc Kd? Should I fold it? I raised it to try and knock some people out. I get one MP call and BB calls. SB folds. 2 others left, so it looks like my bet accomplished what it was supposed to for the most part. Flop comes up Ah, 6h, 2c. BB calls me so I think it missed him. It misses me but I bet anyway as an informational bet to see if MP has the A. I really have nothing worth mentioning and I'm trying to represent AA or AK with my pre-flop and post flop bet. I still like this bet, I think it will tell me what I need to know and possibly buy me the pot right there. Anyway, both call so I'm pretty certain someone has the A. BB checks to me, I check getting ready to fold to the MP bet but he checks instead. K comes up on the river. I bet it assuming nobody has the A and my Q kicker is good (since nobody has an A). They both call. I see the one guys hand, he had KK with T kicker. The other guy does doesn't show but I think it is likely he had a K too with a crappy kicker. I won... Did I play this right? I think the only questionable part was playing KQo UTG. (but betting it, I think might make it ok) Opinions? | ||

| I like the way you played this one. You said the MP had KK with a T kicker. You meant he had KT right? He shouldve folded to your flop bet (actually I wouldnt have even played KT with an UTG raiser). I think the BB had something like 67s | ||

| I've very hesitant to raise with KQo early just because you will very rarely win with just king high. Say you flop rags with a flush draw, you bet and get called. The turn is another blank and you bet and get called again. Now the river is a final blank and you're stuck with firing another shot because if your opponent was on a draw that busted, he still has a decent shot of beating king high. If you had AQ or AK, it might very well be good in that spot, and you can check it down and take the pot sometimes. Your preflop play was a little questionable but can be justified of course, your postflop play was right on the money. Lee | ||
