| I am thinking about trying to put on a poker tournament at my college as a relay for life fundraiser, it would not be anything big probably a 10 dollar buy in with an extra two going to relay for life and the top 6 get paid. what i am wondering about is this legal or are tournaments considered gambling also does anyone have any advice on holding a tournament | ||

| If it is for charity. I would suggest getting donated prizes from the community (like pizza coupons, video rentals, and other stuff college students like). You might get enough donated stuff that it would far exceed the money you collect. Then donate all the entry fees to charity. I would also run it by someone in administration or whomever needs to know if you plan on using the student union or just run it a fraternity. Sounds like a good idea!! Let us know how it worked out. | ||
