| So im in a 30+3 multi last nite with 458 players, its down to 68 and i've got about 2900 left (average about 6000) but the blinds aren't to high and i feel confident im going to make the money (top 50, 68 dollars is 50th-41st) when BAM, i get a notice from party poker that the tournament is canceled and will receive a refund by 6am EST. Now at first i am INFURIATED, thinking that i would have made the money and basked in glory (this being my 1st multi tourny with a WORKING connection, and not some crappy university one that times out and then folds your pocket Qs in key situations) but then i find out, they are going to divide up the prize money to the remaining, making my probable 68 dollars, assuming i don't get knocked out, into 232!!! So the question is, party poker do i kill you or kiss you? | ||

| A bird in the hand, right? Unless you are confident that you would have finished in a spot above $232, they did you a favor. I wouldn't want it to happen too often but as long as it doesn't hurt you, I don't see any reason to be too angry about it. SpaceAce P.S. This is my first post here. | That happened to me at Party about a month back but I was one of the chip leaders with about 100 people left. Top 60 were in money. The way party poker handled it was this: They took the total prize money and divided it in half. Then they took 50 out of 100 people left that had the least chips and gave them all an equal share of one half of the prize money. The other half of the prize money was divided among the top 50 chip leaders according to chip stack. I was paid about the third highest because there was 2 people with more chips than me. -FlopDaNutz I'm not a player I just MUCK a lot! | ||

| BOND18, HOW CAN THE TOURNAMENT BE CANCELED WITHOUT GIVING ALL PLAYERS MONEY BACK. HOW COULD YOU GET A PRIZE BASED ON YOUR STANDING NOW WHEN THE TOURNAMENT IS CANCELED. LJH | ||

| Why was the tourney canceled? Ive never seen them cancel one at PokerStars. And speaking of why....why does LJH have to type in caps every time? Its annoying. | ||

| Apparantly they canceled it because of technical difficulties, i find it highly unlikely that i woulda gotten more than the cancel got me, so overall im pretty pleased, tho the big stacks must of been FURIOUS. | ||

I HAVE LOST A TOURNAMENT, BECASUE OF THIER SOFTWARE GLITCH, AND EXPERIENCED MANY OTHER PROBLEMS. PLEASE MIKE PLEASE ROY.
