| I've got a poker spreadsheet that someone on this forum sent me. I'm having trouble with calculations. Shouldn't a spreadsheet calculate things automatically. I thought that was the point. If anyone has one they use that calulates bb/hr and total win loss I'd like to have a copy. Also I would like to track where I play and the date played. | I think you have mine, and it does calculate everything automatically. You do have to cut and paste the formula from the cell above it the first 2 or 3 times, but after about 4 rows, it starts to automatically put that formula in there for you. It figures all of that stuff for you. You shouldn't have to put in any formula or do any calculations at all. I know at least 40 people are using it right now. I also received some suggestions from another poster, and he updated it to hold multiple sites. I haven't had the time to look at it a great deal, and I was of the mind to keep them in seperate sheets. I'm going to setup a web page soon and will post two versions of it then, rather than emailing them all out. I will post the link here when I get it. Jason | ||

| I've been hearing a lot about the excel spreadsheets lately, and I'm a bit surprised about some of the comments/problems. Perhaps someone could mail me a (blanked out) version that they are using so I could take a peek. My guess is that you guys should be using pivot tables and charts to summarize information, not formulas. Calculated fields, deviation and other mathematical functions all all be imbedded there... No updating, no date fixing, no problems with charts. In any case, I can be reached at "spectral_offshore -at- hotmail.com" May want to zip the file so that hotmail doesn't reject the xls file... I might be able to help out a bit (working excel has somehow managed to become my day job, unfortunately). | ||

| Thanks! I'll definently send it along in a bit. I've said all along I don't know anything about excel really. I just couldn't find what I was looking for, and someone provided me a nice headstart from here that got me motivated. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but if it is your day job, I know it can be frustrating to work on things in your freetime that you do at work and certainly wouldn't want that. Jason | ||

| OK I finally figured out how to get this thing to work... I obviously have no business playing poker if I can't figure out a stinking excel spreadsheet... LOL Thanks for sticking with me till it finally got through my thick skull... Chad | ||
