| This is in a UB $5 SNG, I had played very tight up until this point, my one opponent has also been playing fairly tight playing slightly more hands than I have, tell me what you think about this.... Hand #603130-24 at Layton (No Limit Hold'em Sit and Go) Powered by UltimateBet Started at 05/Nov/03 23:41:13 TheScorpion is at seat 0 with 1925. Ramen is at seat 1 with 895. JohnFR is at seat 3 with 945. outplayed_u is at seat 4 with 1930. Frankied98531 is at seat 6 with 1760. Maverick1250 is at seat 8 with 1220. Skippy12 is at seat 9 with 1325. The button is at seat 9. River (board: Kd Kh Ah Jh 8d): (no action in this round) Showdown: Ramen has Qh Th Kh Ah Jh: straight flush, ace high. JohnFR has Ac Ks Kd Kh Ah: full house, kings full of aces. Hand #603130-24 Summary: No rake is taken for this hand. Ramen wins 1805 with straight flush, ace high. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I wasn't worried about him having AA, since he didn't raise preflop, and I knew since I had 1K the best hand I thought he could have was AK which would split the pot. I actually thought he had JJ hence having jacks full of kings, but when he flipped over his cards I sat back in my chair and laughed, I suppose that is the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. | Hi John - It's pretty hard to tell you what I think when 3/4's of the post is all hand history. No offense but it really would be easier (and better) if you would give us your thoughts throughout the entire hand as it's progressing, instead of a couple of sentences at the bottom. I had to scroll up and down several times before I finally gave up! I'm sure you don't realize it, and yes, it probably will take you a little bit longer typing it all out, but, it really is tedious trying to follow it this way, let alone giving you a good analysis of the hand. We want to know what you're thinking!!! ( thanks john). 4P- | ||

| I wish I could edit the original but doesn't look like you can do that so I will post again.... here is the hand again edited and with comments TheScorpion is at seat 0 with 1925. TheScorpion posts the small blind of 15. Ramen posts the big blind of 30. JohnFR: Ac Ks I figure to limp in with AK offsuit since it is early in the tourney no reason to really mess with raising people usually don't care early. Pre-flop: JohnFR calls. outplayed_u folds. Frankied98531 folds. Maverick1250 folds. Skippy12 folds. TheScorpion folds. Ramen checks. Flop (board: Kd Kh Ah): Ramen checks. JohnFR checks. I see this flop and I about have a heart attack, I check hoping to trap him later on I am sure the guy doesn't have AA, so I just hope that the turn card gives him something that will make him bet into me Turn (board: Kd Kh Ah Jh): Ramen bets 30. JohnFR raises to 60. Ramen re-raises to 255. JohnFR re-raises to 840. Ramen goes all-in for 865. JohnFR calls. ahhh maybe he is holding JJ or AJ, he seemed to be a fairly tight player these seems like hands he might play possibly KJ which would be even juicier since he would essentially be drawing dead so I called his all in Tournament all-in showdown -- players show: Ramen shows Qh Th. JohnFR shows Ac Ks. And then this *sigh* these are the breaks I spose River (board: Kd Kh Ah Jh 8d): Showdown: Ramen has Qh Th Kh Ah Jh: straight flush, ace high. JohnFR has Ac Ks Kd Kh Ah: full house, kings full of aces. Ramen wins 1805 with straight flush, ace high. ---------------------------------------------------------------- | ||

| Not much you can do to avoid losing all your chips on this hand. As a side note, I agree with 4P. It is much easier to have your thoughts in the middle, and even better if you describe the hand in your own words, rather that just post the hand history. Chalk it up to "that's poker" and kick some butt in the next one. Lee | ||

| (thanks john......much better :) I would have made a preflop raise with AK. You don't need to bet too much of your stack, (maybe 3 x the big blind. ), and then take it from there - see if anyone reacts to you. Now... you gotta love the flop that you got! But because the pot was so small here, if you bet it after the BB checks, you may lose him completely, so I would have checked it as well. Now when he bets that small amount on the turn, and you raise, and he re-raises, etc., etc. I would have committed my stack also. In fact, I think I would have moved all-in before he did! There's only two hands that have you beat there, A-A, and Qh-10h. (and if he beats you there, well have a nice day.....that's poker!) He could have also held a flush, Jacks full, Kings full of Jacks, or Kings full of Aces (like you held). You just got an unfortunate turn card, and I would have done the same. just my opinion. Better luck in the next one :) 4P- | ||

| Pretty much what I did, it was seriously the best way to be bounced out of a tournament that I have ever seen. I mainly posted it here because I thought it was hilarious. | ||
