| Hello, everytime I log onto 2 different poker sites at the same time my computer starts to freeze up aswell as the screen begins to fade away. Sometimes I get a message saying my system is Low. Would this have anything to do with my video card in my computer? Or is my computer just not powerful enough? It's 600 MHZ Any ideas on how to correct this problem would be appreciated. Thanks! | ||

| Most likely a lack of memory. How much RAM does it have? What operating system are you running? | ||

| Yah man, you're running on virtual ram, which means its using your HD for stuff that should be using ram. HD is wayyyyy slower and will cause this. The cheap upgrade is to throw in another 256megs of ram. Depending on what OS you are running will make a difference in how much of an effect this has. The bottom line though is that you're running a POS machine(no offense meant). If you don't know anything about building one then you should check out a bargain site like www.bensbargains.net or www.techbargains.com for a cheap dell system. $500 will get you a screamer compared to what you have now... | ||

| take his advice...i just recently got a brand new Dell 2400 2.2 Celeron processor, 256 MB ram., 80 Gig HD, CDburner, Flat Panetl 15" screen, Keyboard, Speakers, and free shipping fro like $680....And it arrived in 3 days. It would be even cheaper if you didnt get the upgrade flat panel screen, the extra 40 Gig HD, or the CD burner.. I play three tables at once, and it screams | ||

| You could be having problems with system resources, other than RAM. If you are running 95,95,ME than the amount of system resources are fixed and have nothng to do with the amount of memory your computer has. Goto http://www.rosecitysoftware.com/memboost/ You can download a trial version of memory boost which amoung other things, monitors your system resources. When you open a program, it uses system resources. When the program closes, it does not buy back the system resource. When you run out of system resources, you computer freezes, crashes, or acts very bad. Programs like you are running use a lot of resources. Try this memory boost program, it will tell you if your problem is a resource issue or not and you can make a decision as to what to do next. One tip, if this is your problem, reboot before you go to these sites. You will have the maximum resources available. If you are running NT or XP, this is probably not the problem. Good luck Ron | ||
