How would you play in the following type of game, what would be your strategy;

7 card stud HI only -, $40 buy-in, no additional buy ins allowed, no maximum or minimum bet and no maximum amount of raises

sorry, 25 cent ante, and after that, anyone can bet any amount at all 5 rounds of betting, and no limits on amount of raises either. 7 players, so no blinds or bring-ins

ummmm if there are no bringins then who bets first the first round? and sounds like playing extremely tight is way to win *boring as hell but about as close to a sure win as there is in poker*

Rule #1 of Poker
Circumstances alter cases
Rule #2 NEVER forget rule #1

really bad structure. If there is no forced bet and tiny antes, what is there to play for?
Wait for Aces and trips, dump everything else?

maybe your group should try pot-limit, or half-pot, instead. A "$40 and done" NL game with little incentive and lots of risk doesn't seem like a good game.

Your group likes this and plays this regularly? what do they do when they bust out- go home?
