| My question is two-fold. First of all I am going to Vegas and I would like to know the best places to play poker, ring games and tourneys. Also, what are the buy-ins for casino tourneys? Thanks | ||

| I just got back from vegas and posted a long trip report in the "looking for a game" section of this forum. Check it out. I didn't play any tourneys, but all the buy-ins are listed in CP magazine. It's available in all the major cardrooms. | ||

| Depends on what limits you play--the only "big bet" poker is at Bellagio, and, to a lesser extent, Mirage. But, assuming you are a low-limit player (4-8), i would recommend staying off the Strip and playing at one of the "locals" casinos, e.g. Boulder Station, Palace Station, Texas Station, Orleans, Sam's Town et al. Orleans runs two trnmts every day, with $20 buy-in, w/ re-buys, and an add on, So, for $50 or $60, you can play in a trnmt vs.about 100 players, with 1st place paying $1800 or so.
