| i was just wondering about the number of days pros play? Do u play every day? Or just 5 days a week and a set number of hours? tks | ||

| I base most of my hours on the quality of the game I'm in. I try to be flexible with my time (not always possible, of course) so that I can play longer when the game is good and quit early when it isn't. Today I went to the Bellagio at 11:30 am and was home by 2:00 - it was the slowest day in a few months. During big tournaments, I put a lot of hours into the sidegames, as they tend to be particularly good. For example, during the WSOP I try to play 12 hours a day, seven days a week. When I get burned out, I take a day off. That approach has worked well for me. Other pros follow set days and hours, and that works for them, although this sometimes results in quitting great games and playing in terrible ones. Mark | ||
